About Me
Hi there, welcome to my portfolio website!
I've loved sports for as long as I can remember. I watched my brother and dad play basketball in the backyard and didn't want to be left out so they taught me how to play. I fell in love with the game and knew I wanted to work in sports. One day during my 8th grade year, I was watching a Duke basketball game when the commentator said, "Today at practice, Coach K said..." and I knew sports media was the path I wanted to take. I wasn't talented enough to play sports above the high school level but I had to find a way to be around sports. How incredible is it that I could be paid to watch sports and get to speak with and learn from the best? I shadowed a local play-by-play commentator who let me be on air for an inning and it was thrilling; there was nothing else I wanted to do. I researched sports journalism programs, landed on Clemson, and the rest is history!

Education
MAY 2020
Clemson University
At Clemson, I was been able to learn from peers and professors who inspired me to work harder and try new things. The classes I took have given me real-world sports industry knowledge that I will take into the field. Participating in Clemson's student television station provided me with incredible experiences and showed me what it looks like to write and deliver a show, how to write content guidelines, and how to use camera equipment and editing software. Starting and leading the Clemson chapter of the Association for Women in Sports Media was such a blessing and became an avenue for my friends to connect with sports professionals such as Holly Rowe, Debbie Antonelli, and Amanda Brooks. AWSM means so much to me. I'm extremely grateful for my time at Clemson and the relationships I formed in Tigertown.
